Stop Simmer Legislative Day Makes Waves At The Statehouse
The South Carolina Senate Received a Strong Message on the First Day of Session
The United Patriots Alliance hosted a Legislative “Stop Simmer” Day on Tuesday, January 14th, the first legislative day of the new session. South Carolinians from around the state traveled to support this event and speak to their Senators about Dr. Simmer. We kicked the day off going around with concerned South Carolinians and speaking to our senators about why Dr. Simmer should not be confirmed as the Director of the South Carolina Public Health Department.
Afterwards, we held a press conference where several legislators and SC advocacy group leaders along with our very own President, Mark Lynch! The speakers included: Sen. Tom Corbin, Sen. Tom Fernandez, Rep. Jordan Pace, Rep. Josiah Magnuson, Rep. Jay Kilmartin, Rep. Joe White, Rep. Rob Harris, Rep. April Cromer, Rep. Lee Gilreath, Pastor Mark Corral from Equal Protection South Carolina, Myrtle Beach Republican Women Chairwoman Johnnie Bellamy, and United Patriots Alliance President Mark Lynch. If you missed the press conference, watch the full video HERE.

Following the press conference, we attended the first part of the South Carolina Senate chamber meeting and were recognized on the floor by Senator Shane Martin.

Thank you to all who attended! It is clear that South Carolinians want medical FREEDOM not medical TYRANNY! Please continue to contact your Senator and ask them to vote against confirming Dr. Edward Simmer as the next Director of the Public Health Department. You can also contact the Governor’s office to demand that he nominate a REAL physician as the Director of the Public Health Department that will stand for medical freedom in South Carolina!
