As The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition Melts Down While Defending USAID, Let's Be Aware Of South Carolina's Dark Ties
It's Time Congress Forms A Church-Style Committee To Investigate USGLC
"It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliance with any portion of the foreign world." ~ George Washington, Farewell Address, September 19th, 1796
The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) is headlining its website with an Act Now action project titled Take Action Now: Support U.S. Foreign Assistance Reform, Not Retreat. The action webpage starts with the following paragraph:
Right now, your voice is more important than ever. As you may have seen in the news, the Administration’s freeze on new foreign assistance funding, issuance of stop-work orders on existing programs, and the abrupt dismantling of USAID, has created significant unintended consequences for America’s national security and economic interests.
At the end of the action webpage, the reader is encouraged to contact members of Congress to urge them to take action.

So why is it that the USGLC is so concerned about USAID?
Liz Schrayer, the President and CEO of USGLC, wrote a letter titled USGLC Statement on the Further of Dismantling USAID. In the letter she wrote, “Yanking career public servants off the frontline, who have served across Republican and Democratic Administrations alike, often at great personal risk in high-threat environments around the world, is neither strategic nor cost-effective.”
Perhaps Liz Schrayer is in an uproar over the funding of USAID because her friends at the Council on Foreign Relations are losing power. In a previous article we’ve written titled Oops! Ellen Weaver Connects South Carolina 6-12 Students to "Globalist" Council on Foreign Relations Member Robert P. George By Partnering with PragerU we discussed the dangers of the Council on Foreign Relations. Out of the current 40 Advisory Council members of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, twenty-two of them are members of the Council on Foreign Relations. Hillary Clinton is not a member of the Council on Foreign Relations but both her husband and daughter are members. Rick Santorum is not a member of the Council on Foreign Relations but he is a Senior Advisor for the Convention of States which has Robert P. George as a board member.
What is the South Carolina connection? In our previous article titled A Look Back: Did Trey Gowdy's Ties To The Deep State Cause Him To Act Cowardly During The Benghazi Hearings? we revealed the details of how many South Carolinians are scheming against Americans while tag teaming with the USGLC.
On the list of South Carolina’s USGLC committee, names include:
South Carolina State Representative Micah Caskey who is a member of the Aspen Institute, an endorsed candidate of the Conservation Voters of South Carolina, and a big supporter of the World Health Organization’s South Carolina Health Czar Bill
Henry M. “Buzz” Burwell, a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, a law firm that is a big sponsor of the Conservation Voters of South Carolina
Luke Byars, Senior Partner of First Tuesday Strategies, Former Executive Director of the South Carolina Republican Party, and Former State Director and Campaign Manager for U.S. Senator Jim DeMint
Dr. James P. Clements, President of Clemson University
James F. Barker, President Emeritus of Clemson University
Chad Connelly, President & Founder of Faith Wins and Former Executive Director of the South Carolina Republican Party
South Carolina State Senator Jason Elliott, an endorsed candidate of the Conservation Voters of South Carolina, the first openly gay lawmaker in the South Carolina legislature, and attended the Convention of States simulation in 2023
Jamie Harrison, Former Democratic National Committee Chairman, Former U.S. Senate Candidate, a member of Liberty Fellowship, and Former Chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party
South Carolina State Senator Greg Hembree, a top advocate for the School Choice scam that’s aimed at destroying genuine homeschooling
Bill P. Jones, President of Columbia International University
Philip Lader, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, a law firm that is a big sponsor of the Conservation Voters of South Carolina
Curtis Loftis, Treasurer of South Carolina who purchased $30 million in Israel bonds with taxpayer money and is claiming to be the victim of a witch hunt for the $1.8 billion accounting error
South Carolina State Representative Todd Rutherford, minority leader in the South Carolina House of Representatives
Allen Smith, President & CEO of OneSpartanburg, Inc., who used a PAC and spent $34,000 to try to stop South Carolina Freedom Caucus members from being re-elected and also immediately flew the PRIDE flag in front of the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce following his hiring as CEO
James E. Smith Jr., a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, a law firm that is a big sponsor of the Conservation Voters of South Carolina, and also a former South Carolina State Representative

Among those whose names are no longer listed on the committee are the names of South Carolina Congressman William Timmons and Tony Beam, Director of Church and Community Engagement at North Greenville University and the Public Policy Director for the South Carolina Southern Baptist Convention. Beam even has an article available on USGLC’s website that was published just after President Barack Obama won his second presidential election. The staff writer for USGLC wrote,
“As South Carolinians recover from last week’s bruising Presidential primary, popular Christian radio host and USGLC State Advisory Committee member Dr. Tony Beam penned an opinion piece in yesterday’s Greenville News saying, “The fact is American global leadership is essential to our national security, our economic prosperity, and our most central values,” and “No matter which candidate takes the oath of office next January, it is my deep belief that he should continue this proud legacy by standing up for U.S. global engagement.”
Also tied to the USGLC, is former South Carolina Governor David Beasley who recently spoke at the USGLC’s Mid-Atlantic 2024 Summit.
Senator Josh Kimbrell, who led the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in South Carolina, welcomed former Governor David Beasley by honoring him in the South Carolina Senate chambers on March 29th, 2022. On that day Senator Kimbrell wrote on Facebook, “It was great to welcome my friend Governor David Beasley to the SC Senate today to promote the World Food Program’s efforts to raise funds for relief for Ukraine. Another example of SC leading the way!”. On that day, Kimbrell presented Beasley (shown below) to the senate with a resolution that expressed how pleased he was with Beasley’s participation in the the World Food Programme which we now know has been joined at the hip with USAID.
Shown in the photo below is the senate resolution Kimbrell presented to Beasley on March 19th, 2022.
The USGLC board divides its board into two sister organizations, one being the U.S Global Leadership Campaign and the other being the Center for U.S. Global Leadership. When reviewing the forty board members you can see what looks like the who’s who executives of whom significantly benefit from the funds of USAID. The board even includes Sesame Street CEO, Sherrie Westin, a member of the CFR, who helped deliver Sesame Street to the people of Iraq with a $20 million grant from USAID. The board of USAID also includes Catholic Relief Services CEO Sean Callahan which received about half of its annual $1.5 billion budget from USAID.
Due to this web of dark ties to the USGLC we became interested in finding out who helped found the USGLC. If you look at the USGLC website, this information is strangely nowhere to be found. After reviewing the USGLC’s board, we found that Jeffrey Coleman of American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) a board member.
In our previous article titled An Enemy of Our Medical Freedom, Dr. Edward Simmer, Gets Appointed by Gov. McMaster While McMaster's Comrade, Sen. Josh Kimbrell, Considers Run for Governor we wrote how the main financial benefactor the the South Carolina Health Czar bill was an AIPAC council member named Bill Stern. With this concern over AIPAC, we reviewed the LinkedIn account for Jeffrey Coleman and we found that he claims to have co-founded the U.S. Global Leadership Campaign in 1995. The U.S. Global Leadership Campaign is one of the two sister organizations of the USGLC that is led by the USGLC board.
In 1995, he (Jeffrey Coleman) co-founded the U.S. Global Leadership Campaign (USGLC), a coalition of more than 500 non-governmental organizations and businesses that supports the government’s international affairs budget and is the longest serving member of its board of directors.
In further investigation, we went to the Wikipedia page for USGLC where it states that “the USGLC was established in 1995 by Liz Schrayer when a diverse group of companies, NGOs, and foreign policy experts rallied together in response to congressional funding cuts to the International Affairs Budget.” Schrayer is the current President & CEO of USGLC that wrote the USGLC Statement on the Further Dismantling of USAID . Schrayer’s bio on the USGLC’s website says that she “served as the national Political Director of AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee for more than a decade).”
What a coincidence? Schrayer and Colman both have ties to AIPAC and both participated in the founding of USGLC in 1995. Knowing this, the pattern seems to show that the USGLC and USAID are tools of AIPAC.
In 2023, South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson introduced a bill to expand USAID for the purposes of supporting the state of Israel. In the article, it included the following quote from AIPAC:
“America and Israel are partners that work together to benefit each other and the world. This important bipartisan bill will expand this mutually beneficial cooperation by leveraging Israel's proven innovation in areas like water, energy, agriculture, and sustainability.”
Since proposing the bill, Congressman Joe Wilson received over $133,000 from AIPAC during the 2024 election cycle.
Is AIPAC is a direct threat to Americans that are wanting to restore the constitutional republic system? AIPAC aims to support Democrats that are wanting to destroy what makes America great. On August 6th, 2024, AIPAC openly boasted of helping 103 AIPAC-Democrats win seats in Congress, 85 of those are members of the Equality Caucus.
On February 10th, 2025, the Equality Caucus announced that “a historic 191 members of the U.S. House have joined the Congressional Equality Caucus this Congress—the most we’ve ever had at the start of Congress!”.
If President Donald Trump continues with his path of completely ending USAID, he may be putting an end some of the power that AIPAC has had over Congress since the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Before Kennedy was killed, he was righfully trying to restrain AIPAC from taking over America as it was trying to pass as a domestic lobbying group while being a foreign lobbying group. Right after Kennedy was murdered, President Lyndon Johnson gave AIPAC exactly what it wanted — domestic lobbying status.
To help with the process of restraining AIPAC to its proper place so that it is no longer a controlling force over Congress, share this article with your Congressman and U.S. Senators. Demand that they create a Church-style committee to investigate AIPAC’s participation in USAID, the USGLC, and the CFR.
For further understanding of AIPAC, we encourage you to watch Congressman Thomas Massie’s interview with Tucker Carlson where he discloses that every Republican Congressman except for him has an AIPAC babysitter.
Excellent work. Great illustration of how corrupt things are in SC: all hidden in plain sight, mostly under the guise of helping others.
What a great and enlightening article! Amazing ya’all have the intelligence to know this and get it out! Keep up the great.. outstanding… awesome reporting!
